“The paintings for Expressions of Landscape explore the impact of the land and sea on human emotion: the freedom of feeling both insignificant and empowered in the presence of a landscape that is forever being shaped by weather and time. A connection between person and place. A sense of belonging. I am interested in this aspect rather than focusing on the surface level alone.
