Steve Salo, 20 November 2021

During winter I took on a daily painting challenge and created a series of small still life works, which I shared on Instagram @steve.salo. Thank you to new and existing collectors and others interested in my work, I have an incredible community of supporters and it’s been great getting to know you through this series. It warms my heart that there’s people out there who appreciate still life paintings. I love painting them!

After postponing in 2020 due to Covid lockdowns, my solo show at Art2Muse is finally here…well, kind of. Sydney is back in lockdown, the gallery is closed, the opening cancelled and I can’t get over the border to attend anyway. Paintings can be viewed online at Art2Muse Gallery and the gallery reopens 11 October.

I was delighted to be invited to exhibit with the Cook Street Collective in Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula. I’m preparing for a solo show of landscapes in the Blackroom Gallery from 27 March until 18 April 2021, inspired by the coasts of the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas in Victoria.

Working on another painting of London Bridge.

With the postponement of The Other Art Fair Sydney and five other TOAF locations across the world, Saatchi Art launched the Online Studios to showcase the works of fair artists. I’ve greatly appreciated being included in their newsletters and online collections, the resulting sales have helped me to be able to keep painting. Steve Salo Online Studio
